When I started working on this documentary I did not know too much about Global Warming. I knew it was an issue and it was causing the earth to get hotter and ice caps to melt but I did not understand how important it was to preserve our environment and that it really is important to make sure you do your part in helping, such as recycling, riding a bike or walking instead of driving or riding the bus. All these things I realized make a difference and if just a handful of high school kids can start making a difference then in years to come we are giving our kids and their kids a better life and the same if not more things then we had.

So me and my group are on a good start we have gotten an interview with Kent From channel 4. Two of the people from my group have gotten another Interview with Kelly from Washington University they also went on the street to get interviews from people. Now we are putting slides together and getting them in order so we can put all of them together to finish this documentary before the year is over ( LAST DAY MAY 23rd!!). So you can imagine that things in Mrs.Pomerantz’s 8th block English 2 class is a little bit crazy but we are hard at work.

On Wednsday Jenny, Spoorthi, & myself made our way to Downtown St.Louis the the KMOV Channel 4 station. Where we met with Chief Meteorologist Kent Earhardt. As we signed in down in the lobby waiting for Kent to come and escort us back i started to get a little nervous, when he finally came out he gave us a tour of the whole Office, told us what happend in that particular room and why they did that way. When we got to where the Anchors sit ( what you see on TV) he showed us that part and the weather room area ( where they were having some difficulties) then we started our interview where the sports interviews are taken it was quite an experiance. Kent is shorter then i would of thought but he was so nice he was talking about his kids (that are around our age) after our interview he let us take a few shots so we can put them in certain places when we edit our video, he also gave us a few ideas on how to edit our video when we were done he walked out in the lobby to get my grandmother (who was more excited then me and my friends) then he took all of us on another tour. Then we left so they could go get some work done but we got some amazing shots and our interview he also referred us to another person that could help. I had so much fun.

I have called many news stations, I finally got an interview with Kent Earnhart ( KMOV Channel 4).
I also got a call from the Chief Meterologist from CW 11 she refered me to the Chief Meterologist from The National Weather Channel, Jim Kramper. So i’m going to make a call to him as soon as i get the chance to. I’m so excited but at the same time nervous about my interview with Kent. My friend and i are going up there with all of our equipment and hopefully get something good.

I have learned that in that summer is arriving 8 hours earlier then it is suppose to since 1982. I also learned that summer is coming a little bit later in Flordia, Louisana, and Southern Texas.
The temperature has rised 1.4 degrees since the 19th century
