I have learned that in that summer is arriving 8 hours earlier then it is suppose to since 1982. I also learned that summer is coming a little bit later in Flordia, Louisana, and Southern Texas.
The temperature has rised 1.4 degrees since the 19th century

I saw a news program. It talked about the Colorado River and Lake Powell and how the water level has drastically dropped. You could actually see where the water level used to be on teh rock. There was also a story on water in Las Vegas… by 2012 they could run out of water. That really scared me. Water is not a renewable resource we really need to protect and conserve what we have. If we run out of water what would we do to survive? I will try to find more info and forward it to you.

Hi Jacquelyn,
I live in Oregon, and I am participating in the Comment Challenge. I found your blog and I’ve been reading some of your entries. This entry in particular caught my eye because I can hardly believe that summer is coming earlier than it used to. Scary!
It is also a scary thought that we could run out of water. I like to conserve resources by recycling and reusing materials as much as possible. I am impressed by what your class is doing, and I wish you all luck! Keep going!
Sincerely,
Elizabeth
